I'm sure everybody thinks I'm some kind of cat lady by now but my cats are just so funny! If you lived with them, you'd write about them too.

So all the cats have their quirks and they're all predictable. Draco, for instance, will always, always, always, play under a blanket if you lift one up for him to climb under. He just LOVES to be roughed up under a blanket. What a freak! Most cats hate to be under blankets but Draco will be exceedingly manipulative to try to get you to play the blanket game with him. He'll be really sweet, rubbing his face against you and then he'll go over to the blanket and paw at it. He's such a ham!

And then Rizzo. He just loves water. This one night, I got myself some water, put it down on an end table, got up for a second, and when I came back, Rizzo was drinking my water. Who ever heard of a cat who loved water so much?

I think this picture really sums up Rizzo's personality well. He looks totally surly, but he's sitting there seriously contemplating whether to drink some more water or not. It really captures both how goofy he is and how grouchy.

OK, this is unrelated, but here are two more pictures, both from Thanksgiving. First, here's a picture of me with my adorable cousin Cindy.

And here's one of me and Steve. Who's cuter - Steve or Cindy? Sorry if this embarrasses you, Steve!

Steve already has ashley's love, which is good, because im going completely off the mark and have to say that rizzo wins. no offense to steve or cindy, but as we all know i harbor no great love for babies or people wearing striped shirts.

You go to hell and you die!

Actually, ahem, I must also come out with it and declare my love for Rizzo. That cat stirs feelings in me that are usually reserved for shiny, perfect pages in a magazine and those silky lengths of fabric that often line the perimeters of blankets.

I say the prize goes to the melissa/steve unit expressed in the final picture. You are both super cute in that! Steve's head looks a little big, but those "come on, you know." eyes make up for it.

my vote goes to steve on this one...and I do love babies, but it was a tough choice....it's the sideswept bangs and the knowing little "come hither" look in his eyes

you two are damned cute

But what you guys don't realize is that Cindy is one of those absurdly happy, joyful babies that is constantly laughing, smiling, and having fun. It's hard to even imagine what she's so happy about all the time, but she is. And it's really cute. Of course, I appreciate you saying that Steve and I are damn cute!! But I'm not so sure we can compete with baby Cindy.

I think the picture of you and Steve is some adorable stuff. The baby is also cute, but looks sort of like an extraterrestrial. Please don't tell the people who made the baby I said that. They might take it the wrong way. I don't mean it in a bad way. In fact, I take it back. The baby is the awesomest baby in the world.

The picture of you and Steve is like, YOU: "Oh, I love this dude named Steve... ::Squeeze!::", HIM: "My solo stuff since I quit Pavement just isn't that great."

What are you and Steve doing next Wednesday (your birth!) and/or Friday-Saturday?

As usual, your reply was laugh out loud funny! With all of these hilarious friends, why do I even keep a blog?

I'm so glad you've finally made your promised journal!!! On my birthday I'm going to Longwood Gardens but then I don't know what. Maybe we can have some fun!!

Well, as you may have read in my journal, Wednesday is my last day of finals and I plan to celebrate in some way. I'll be so glad for this semester to be over. Either on Wednesday or Friday or Saturday, I wanna try to have people over at my place. This will be more fun than it sounds. And it can be more than 4 or 5 people, too, because I can open up two other vacant rooms in my building, as long as we don't fuck them up and puke in them.

I just got the DVD of the documentary Gaza Strip, which looks to be pretty good. I don't know if you've seen it. I watched part of it. It's got these, like 10-year-old Palestinian kids reading the papers and being like "Arafat is a fucking puppet! Sharon or Barak? It doesn't matter. They will both destroy us!" Chris wants to see it. Some day before Xmas, maybe we can all watch it and do other fun things.

I'm going to be in Florda from Dec. 24 until Dec. 29.

I also have a beard.

Gimme some money.
